This mobile art dwelling is called the Incubate, and it is designed and built by Moksha Woodwork Designs.  It has a two burner Atwood cook stove, sink with gravity feed facet, four LED light sconces, large sold maple kitchen counter and maple sliding cabinet doors, a full size bed with two drawers underneath, and Doug Fir plywood interior paneling.  The exterior is a mix of salvaged and new redwood and cedar siding, 26 gauge galvanized sheet metal covers the arch roof and sides, two Doug Fir french doors, 3' x 4' pvc sliding double pane window, redwood steps, redwood bent lamination canopy frame (can be disassembled for road travel), 18oz pvc canvas canopy, built on a 12' Carson utility trailer. The mobile dwelling weighs 2700 lb. The starting price for this model is $34,000

This mobile art dwelling is called the Abide.  The Abide is 50 sq. ft.  It includes a two burner stove, a small sink, 6 LED light sconces, and a bench seat that folds out into a full size bed.  It has fully insulated walls and roof, double pain windows, a birch plywood interior, redwood exterior, and removable arch canopies for easy road travel.  The dwelling weighs 1500 lb. The Abide is comfortable for one or two people. This model starts at $27,000

The Window Seat is the most light weight and afforable dwelling that I build. The exterior is a combination of Maranti marine grade plywood, redwood doors windows and bent lamination’s, and 24 gauge galvanized sheet metal for the arched surfaces. It is insulated with 2” polyiso rigid foam insulation R-13. The interior wall paneling is custom milled redwood, the seating and transformer bed is made from douglas fir, the slide out drawers below the seats are maple plywood, there is storage behind each of the seat backs, and RGB led cove lighting that runs around the perimeter of the ceiling. This project is a backyard art studio set on a hill in San Francisco's Noe Valley.  It was a collaborative design between myself and the client.  The large expanse of windows blur the line between indoors and outdoors, which has become a reoccurring theme in many of my designs.  The redwood tree to the left, conceals the tree house that has been integrated with the top of the structure.  This project is also representative of the fusion of Modern, Craftsmen, and Japanese influences that are prominent in my designs.

This project is a backyard home office in Oakland California.  The Cedar Studio is one of my more basic designs the with cedar siding upgrade.  This design features interior is birch plywood walls, douglas fir door,  maple desk cabinetry and shelving and corrugated metal shed roof.  The dimensions of the structure are 10' x 12'.

The Cabana was the first tiny home I built.  I built it 7 years ago as means of creating an affordable beautiful place for myself to live.  It is the home that I continue to live in and appreciate today.  It is an affordable cost efficient design that does not sacrifice comfort and beauty.

This was a project that I designed and built for the city of San Francisco.  It is the center piece of a rehabilitated public open space with a community garden, skate park, play structures, art installations, and basket ball courts.  The Pavilion practically acts as a central meeting and relaxing space, as well as an aesthetic contribution with its sculptural form.

These are some of the beautiful bare bones designs that I have been putting together for people on the streets.  This has been the most rewarding work that I have ever done, allowing me to express myself artistically and serve those who are really in need.  This current project will consist of 10 different dwellings and 10 different designs.  My hope is that this is just the beginning, and that I will continue to build these structures for future sanctioned developments, as well as provide job training for those who are interested in developing these skills.  

This building project was developed in collaboration with Saint Francis Homelessness Challenge, a San Francisco-based nonprofit that provided volunteer and outreach support and over $6,000 in funding for building materials. 

I have spent 15 years building fine furniture and cabinetry.  these are examples of some of the pieces that I built while working for Custom Furniture Design.  Custom woodworking has tested my ability to find creative solutions for unique projects, while utilizing farmiliar forms of efficient production flow.  Honing this balance over the years has been a rewarding challenge.
